Mike Paxton OwnerMike Paxton
Founder & President

Meet Mike Paxton, founder of Q2 Interactive Media. Colorado Springs is where he lives and works, building and managing premier websites for a wide range of clients. But Mike's much more than a website developer. He brings a wide range of experience to each project – experience he gained from a diverse business background.

His experience includes sales, marketing strategy, financial forecasting, liquidation, growth strategy, pipeline management, document management and more. He’s served as Sales Manager for Rentals.com, Director of Operations for Borden Capital LLC, and even the President and Co-founder of Fix A Phone.

While building his skill set in all these areas, Mike began building websites in 2000 with basic HTML code. He quickly discovered he had a real knack for it, and as new software languages became available he added those to his web-developer's toolkit. In no time, Mike was building sophisticated websites for national companies like First Premier Bank.

Knowing he had a talent and passion for building websites, Mike founded Q2 Interactive Media in 2001. From hosting and e-commerce to advanced dynamic-driven experiences, he developed the tools and experience to help clients get to the next level with their website and e-commerce. By keeping his company's overhead low, he has been able to provide these services at a fraction of the price charged by larger website developers, and today Q2 provides high quality interactive media services to clients in many industries, all over the United States.

Certification Achievements

David Burgess DeveloperDavid Burgess
Web Developer

David grew up in a small town in rural Idaho and always enjoyed learning as much as he could about anything he could get my hands on. In high school he became very interested in computers, and shortly thereafter, the internet.

Out of curiosity, Dave began studying the source code of web pages he visited, and quickly figured out how it all worked. He learned HTML by trial and error in notepad and everything came quite naturally to him. He started building website for himself and anyone that would let him just to refine his skills. He landed his first full-time development job in 2007 where he learned a great deal about the ins and outs of the trade and was finally getting paid to do what he loved to do.

Later that same year, Dave moved to Colorado Springs where he continued to work in the industry, but this time as a freelancer, and on top of another full-time job. In 2009, he met up with Michael Paxton and they began working together. Within only a couple of months, they moved into an office and have worked on major projects for Griffis Blessing, and the Smartbox franchise in Colorado and Texas.

When Dave’s not grinding out code at Q2, he enjoys movies, reading, bike riding
and long road trips.

Dave Curtis Graphic DesignerDave Curtis
Graphic Designer

Dave has lived in Colorado for most of his life, growing up in the Black Forest area. In 2004, he enrolled at Pikes Peak Community College to study Multimedia Graphic Design. While at Pikes Peak, he completed an internship with Crystal Peak Design and soon after received his Associates Degree.

Immediately after graduating, Dave was hired by Apogee Components as an in-house designer. He worked at Apogee for close to two years before moving on to something a bit different. Dave began freelancing for design companies like G3 Media Group, Convey Studios, Altia and Xaware. Eventually he was hired by Different Fish Design, a local design firm that published a quarterly magazine. He later served as Art Director for Different Fish Design for about a year.

Moving on towards a bright future, Dave connected with Mike at Q2 Interactive Media and joined the team in February of 2010. On top of working hard at Q2, he’s been pursuing his Bachelors Degree in digital media at Colorado Technical University. In the little spare time he has, Dave likes to snowboard, play golf, work out at the gym, hang out with friends and sample the great hop products of Colorado. He looks at life as a blank canvas on which he hopes to paint a masterpiece or “at least something worth hanging on the wall.”
